About Me

Having graduated with an Arts Degree in Photomedia (1998), Edith Cowan University, WA I have worked in and around the worlds arts and fashion sector for well over a decade.

After almost eight years based in Milan, Italy I returned to Perth, Western Australia in late December 2005. In Milan I moved through the roles of running a busy fashion photographic studio, being a photography producer and fashion industry consultant, being the Milan Bureau Chief for a very successful North American online fashion magazine which saw me travelling predominantly between New York, Paris, LA, London and Sydney several times a year, as well as maintain my photographic practise for publication and exhibition.

Vastly diverse, my photography moves from documentary and reportage to fashion and art, around the central concept of ‘home’ and displacement. From the world’s most desperate to most beautiful, my work extends from Australia to Europe and has been exhibited and published by numerous Australian and international media.

I am an adjunct lecturer status with Edith Cowan University, and am associated strongly with FORM, and the only photographer to be part of the creative family at Midland Atelier, in the railway workshops.

I oscillate between the creative and bureaucratic nature of the artistic industry multiple times a day, juggling my arts practise and negotiating commercial clientele. Since returning to Australia I was also nominated and sit on the Department of Culture and Arts designer fashion panel, write regularly for The West Australian Newspaper and lecture at Edith Cowan University.
